THE CREATIVE JOURNEY
Step 01
Find the right piece.
Finding the right piece is the crucial first step in any furniture refurbishment. Nest and Nook Furnishings carefully inspects potential candidates for structural integrity, quality and potential. Our high standards ensure that only the best pieces are selected.
Step 02
Strip off the old finishings.
Stripping away the old finish is always a messy but satisfying process, revealing the raw wood beneath years of accumulated grime and normal wear & tare. This exposes the piece's hidden potential, setting the stage for a fresh, new look.
Step 03
Sand, bleach, sand and stain.
After stripping away the old, we move into the many rounds of sanding, bleaching, then sanding again. Once the piece is smoothed and clean, the staining and finishing processing begins.
Step 04
Deliver a finished piece.
With a warm smile and a final inspection, we carefully wrap the restored piece, ensuring it's protected for its journey to its new home.
